1 Dead and 1 Hurt in Mountlake Terrace Car Crash
MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, WA (January 8, 2020) – A person died while another sustained injuries in a car crash on 220th Street on January 6.
According to reports, a car sheared off a power pole. The South Snohomish County firefighters came to the scene about 7:45 a.m. to the home at 220th Street SW and 44th Avenue W, just south of Mountlake Terrace High School.
Firefighters revealed that the vehicle sheared off a power pole, crashed through a fence and into a house. It then caught fire. One person inside the vehicle died at the scene. Meanwhile, a woman occupying the house was transported to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
Authorities shut down the road while crews repair the pole. It’s still unclear why the car crashed. The authorities are still investigating the collision.
