1 Dead and 1 Hurt in Snoqualmie Car Accident
SNOQUALMIE, WA (March 26, 2019) – A person died while another suffered injuries in a crash involving a car and a bus along 90 Freeway on March 22.
The troopers received a report of a disabled car blocking the right lane of the westbound lanes near Highway 18 at 5:40 a.m. Trooper Rick Johnson with the Washington State Patrol added that two minutes after the initial report, a crash occurred.
“The bus was traveling in the same lane… westbound and for whatever reason unable to avoid striking the vehicle,” Johnson stated.
Troopers revealed that the car driver died while the passenger sustained injuries. Responders transported the passenger to a Bellevue hospital.
Meanwhile, troopers also said that the brand new transit bus traveled for delivery from Minnesota to Vancouver, B.C. The bus’ female driver is unharmed.
“We want people to remain in their vehicle if they’re broken down on the shoulder or in a lane,” Johnson stated. “It’s hard to say how this could have been avoided, but we want other drivers to look further ahead, so they have time to avoid a vehicle broken down in their lane.”
