1 Hospitalized in Los Angeles Car Accident on Interstate 5 and Lake Hughes Road
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 6, 2020) – On Monday, a person sustained injuries in a vehicle crash on Interstate 5 and Lake Hughes Road.
According to Supervisor Bernard Peters, Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a report of a traffic collision. The incident happened on northbound Interstate 5 at Lake Hughes Road in Castaic.
Responders transported one person to a hospital with unknown injuries, L.A. County Fire Supervisor Cheryl Sims said.
Meanwhile, authorities issued a SigAlert for lanes No. 1, 2, and 3 until 8 p.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig added.
As of this time, the circumstances that have led up to the crash remain unclear. Thus, the authorities continue to investigate the incident.
May this incident be a reminder for all motorists to drive responsibly. Drivers should also keep in mind that distracted driving, speeding, and failing to yield will lead to dangerous road accidents.
How To Proceed From a Crash
While driving is essential for many to move about in their lives, it is one of the most dangerous daily maneuvers. Thus, it is therefore important to know how to proceed in case you find yourself involved in a traffic collision.
On the AAA Foundation Web site, chief executive officer Peter Kissinger repeatedly labeled the epidemic of motor vehicle-related accidents a “public health crisis.”
Mark Sweet, a personal injury attorney at Sweet Lawyers, says that serious auto accident cases may call for a separate investigation spearheaded by an experienced lawyer fighting on behalf of the injured party. A lawyer will make sure victims are not cheated of the proper compensation they are owed.
