SIMI VALLEY, CA (August 29, 2019) – A man sustained injuries in a train accident on Hidden Ranch Drive on August 21.
 
The crash happened at about 7:00 p.m. on Hidden Ranch Drive south of Los Angeles Avenue.
 
According to an Amtrak employee, the train departed east from the train station at 5050 Los Angeles Avenue. However, a pedestrian attempted to cross the tracks and got hit by the train.
 
The male pedestrian in his 30s got knocked to the ground. He then escaped the area and jumped a fence nearby before medical responders came.
 
The authorities looked for the victim and located him at a nearby bike path. TA responding ambulance spotted the pedestrian who suffered injuries. However, he declined medical transportation.
