1 Airlifted after Oakley Multi-Vehicle Accident
OAKLEY, CA (December 10, 2018) – A person was flown to a hospital following a three-car collision on November 29 on Empire Avenue and Laurel Road.
It was about 1:55 p.m. when the officers and paramedics arrived at the area and located the person pinned inside the vehicle, Oakley police Sgt. Logan Cartwright reported. Through the use of hydraulic tools, paramedics were able to free the victim from the wreckage. He was then taken by a medical helicopter to John Muir Medical Center.
According to Cartwright, the authorities did not know the extent of the victim’s injuries. However, it was clarified that the injuries were non-life threatening.
The cause of the collision is still being investigated by the detectives.
