Driver Hospitalized after Rear-End Crash near Convention Center
SEATTLE, WA (August 21, 2018) – One person was hospitalized Tuesday morning following a suspected DUI crash on Interstate 5.
As per reports, the incident took place under the Convention Center. A vehicle rear-ended another vehicle, pushing it into the barrier on the left side of the freeway.
The driver of the struck vehicle sustained a broken leg and was transported to the Harborview Medical Center for treatment and evaluation.
Meanwhile, the driver of the causing vehicle was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault and DUI. The identities and places of residence of the people involved in this collision were not immediately disclosed by officials.
Affected areas were temporarily shut down for approximately four hours to make way for an investigation. No additional information was provided to the public at this time.
