Driver Hospitalized after Two Semi-Trucks Collide near Yucaipa Boulevard
REDLANDS, CA (January 15, 2019) – A driver was hospitalized early Tuesday morning following a semi-truck crash on Interstate 10.
According to the Redlands Fire Department, two semi-trucks collided near Yucaipa Boulevard, at about 5:00 AM. One of the trucks came to rest down an embankment, with a ruptured tank that spilled approximately 25 gallons of oil.
One of the drivers, described as a man in his 60s, suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Further updates on his current medical condition were not provided. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the collision and to identify possible contributing factors. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to cooperate with investigators as soon as possible. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
