1 Hurt in Victorville Pedestrian Crash on Mojave Drive
VICTORVILLE, CA (October 27, 2020) – Friday night, a person suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Mojave Drive near Condor Road.
A vehicle hit a pedestrian on October 23rd, just before 6:30 p.m. According to the authorities, the incident occurred in the eastbound lanes of Mojave Drive near Condor Road.
Meanwhile, a witness said that the force of the crash made the pedestrian thrown into the air. Moreover, CPR was initiated at the scene.
Furthermore, Victorville City Fire dispatched a medical helicopter to land at Victor Valley Global Medical Center. Then, responders flew the pedestrian to a trauma center.
On the other hand, the sheriff’s deputies found a 2003 Honda Accord. They found it in the parking lot of the Circle K gas station. The deputies also confirmed that the vehicle sustained damage to the passenger side windshield. Furthermore, they arrested the driver of the vehicle on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Moreover, the officers shut down the eastbound traffic on Mojave Drive for two hours during the investigation.
While car accidents are far more common than pedestrian accidents, there is still reason to be wary when traveling on foot.
Furthermore, common locations for these pedestrian incidents include shopping center entrances, street corners, and intersections.
“Pedestrian accidents do not occur as much as motor vehicle accidents. Nevertheless, the pedestrian accidents tend to include more serious injuries,” says Tyler Toomey, a practicing attorney at Sweet Lawyers.
