Injuries Sustained in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 1 near Fort Bragg
FORT BRAGG, CA (July 23, 2019) – A pedestrian accident on Highway 1 left a person injured Monday before noon.
Officials said a vehicle hit the pedestrian at the south end of the Hare Creek Bridge near Fort Bragg. According to the Fort Bragg Fire Department, a Mendocino Coast District Hospital ambulance transported one person from the scene with unknown injuries.
This was the fourth serious vehicle-versus-pedestrian accident on the ten-mile stretch of Highway 1 between Fort Bragg and Mendocino since July 7. Two of those accidents were fatal. Further investigation is underway.
