1 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash at Van Buren Boulevard and Etiwanda Avenue (Jurupa Valley, CA)

1 Hospitalized following 6-Vehicle Crash in Jurupa Valley

 
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (May 23, 2019) – A multi-vehicle crash at Van Buren Boulevard and Etiwanda Avenue left one person with serious injuries Tuesday night. According to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the incident involved six vehicles. It occurred just before 8:15 p.m. just south of the 60 Freeway.
 
One of the vehicles involved in the crash overturned. As a result, an occupant of the vehicle got trapped inside it. Fire personnel extricated the trapped individual.
 
Fire officials said there were a total of three patients. Paramedics evaluated two of them at the scene, but they declined further treatment. An ambulance transported the third patient to an area hospital due to serious injuries.
 
The crash prompted the closure of southbound Van Buren Boulevard during the investigation.
