1 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 80 Freeway near Newcastle Road [Newcastle, CA]

One Hurt in Newcastle Multi-Vehicle Accident

NEWCASTLE, CA (February 21, 2019) – A person sustained injuries in a three-vehicle collision on 80 Freeway on February 18.

The incident occurred about 4:00 p.m. on westbound 80 Freeway near Newcastle Road. CHP also stated that the incident involved three vehicles crashed. All of the vehicles will be towed from the area.

Due to the collision, traffic was stalled up to Auburn. It was around 5:00 p.m. when the crews finally cleared up the area. However despite the traffic resuming, it was still slowed down due to residual backup.

The injured party was transported to a hospital, according to the California Highway Patrol.
