Unidentified Victim Hurt in Traffic Collision near Cook and Washington Street in Palm Desert
PALM DESERT, CA (May 5, 2020) – Early Monday morning, a multi-vehicle accident left one person with injuries on 10 Freeway.
According to the police reports, officers first responded around 3:00 a.m., between Cook and Washington Street. An eastbound big-rig rolled over and crashed into the center guard rail. This led to a multi-vehicle accident that stalled the traffic in both directions.

After the big-rig halted, it spilled around 80 gallons of oil onto the road. As a result, police requested a hazardous materials unit to safely clean up the spill.
The surrounding area on 10 Freeway was closed off during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened.
