OCEANSIDE, CA (February 22, 2023) – Monday night, a person suffered injuries in a motorcycle crash on State Route 76 near Benet Road.
 
The incident happened shortly before 6:15 p.m. on eastbound State Route 76 near Benet Road, said police spokesperson Jennifer Atenza.
 
According to reports, a suspected drunken driver struck a motorcyclist on State Route 76.
 
As a result, responders transported the injured male motorcyclist to a trauma center. At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed any details about his identity or age.
 
Meanwhile, authorities arrested the 67-year-old male driver on suspicion of DUI.
 
Moreover, the authorities shut down the eastbound lanes of State Route 76 from Benet Road to Foussat Road as police investigated the crash.
 
Then, the lanes reopened after 10:00 p.m.
