1 Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 84 [Livermore, CA]

Motoryclist Hospitalized after Speeding Accident on Isabel Avenue at Jack London Avenue

 
LIVERMORE, CA (September 25, 2018) – On Tuesday afternoon, one person was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on Highway 84.
 
According to reports, the collision occurred at around 3:42 PM on freeway 84, also called Isabel Avenue. Officers were conducting speed-enforcement patrols in the area when they noticed the motorcyclist speeding at about 100 mph.
 
Before officers could pull over the speeding motorcyclist, the bike crashed into a vehicle at the intersection of Jack London Avenue. The rider sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation. It was not immediately disclosed if the driver of the other vehicle was injured or not.
 
Roadways in the area were closed while clearing operations and investigation took place, and reopened around 8:00 PM.
 
Drugs or alcohol haven’t been ruled out as factors in the collision, and toxicology tests are currently being done.
