1 Hospitalized after Buellton Car Accident
BUELLTON, CA (March 5, 2019) – A man sustained major injuries in a motorcycle collision on Highway 101 south of Buellton on March 3.
The collision happened at around 10:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes near the Three Bridges area, CHP revealed.
According to CHP, the rider did not fit while trying to pass between two vehicles. Afterward, the motorcyclist crashed into the center divider.
As a result of the collision, the authorities administered closure. The southbound lanes and the left-hand northbound lane was shut down following the crash.
The Santa Barbara County firefighters and a Calstar medical helicopter were the responding units.
Meanwhile, Fire Capt. Dave Zaniboni stated that the man in his 30s was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. As of this time, his identity remains unknown.
