Mission Valley, CA (February 15, 2021) – Monday night, multiple vehicles crashed on Interstate 8 trying to avoid a large tree that fell.
 
The tree came down at about 8:30 on I-8 east at the Interstate 805 interchange.
 
The California Highway Patrol said there were three separate traffic collisions due to the tree coming down. The first incident involved two vehicles, injuring one person. Moreover, the driver who initiated contact in that crash fled the scene.
