Person Trapped and Injured after Tractor-Trailer Crash on Interstate 580
OAKLAND, CA (November 11, 2019) – A person suffered injuries in a tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 580, Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 7:00 AM. Due to unknown reasons, a small trailer became disconnected from a pickup truck. Then, a Hyundai sedan crashed into the trailer near the Harrison Street off-ramp.
The impact of the collision caused major vehicular damage and trapped one person inside the sedan. Emergency responders rushed the victim to a hospital with major injuries. Updates on the victim’s current condition remain undisclosed.
The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
