Kent, WA (October 6, 2023) – Friday afternoon, one man was hospitalized after a car crash on 116th Avenue SE.

Maryanne Vakamoce said a driver was speeding on 116th Avenue SE and swerved to avoid a head-on collision with another vehicle.

She said the vehicle went off the road, passed between large trees in her parents’ front yard and crashed into the living room wall where her father was sitting on a couch helping another person.

The house is at the corner of SE 223rd Drive in Kent.

She said her niece and younger sister were also in the house at the time of the accident.

Her father is in a hospital, but he is OK, she shared.
