Police Seek the Hit-And-Run Driver after a Crash on Valley Ford Road
Sonoma County, CA (June 24, 2021) – Tuesday night, a 61-year-old woman sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Valley Ford Road and Tomales Road.
The crash happened before 8 p.m. on June 22.
Reportedly, a 2012 Honda Civic going eastbound on Valley Ford Road approached the intersection at Tomales Road when it was struck at the left rear by an older blue or green Nissan sedan turning from westbound Valley Ford to Tomales Road.
However, the Nissan then drove off the scene westbound on Tomales Road.
The collision caused moderate to major damage to both vehicles, and a 61-year-old female passenger in the Civic who complained of pain was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
The CHP is seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver of the Nissan, which investigators said had damage to the grille, headlights, and front bumper cover. From debris at the scene, investigators believe the Nissan is a 2002-2010 Altima.
Further, anyone with information that could lead to identifying the car and its driver is asked to contact Officer K. Lemons of the Santa Rosa Area CHP Office at (707) 588-1400.
