Injury on Four-Vehicle Crash on 91 Freeway
Riverside, CA (August 13, 2020) – On Wednesday, one man got injured in a four-vehicle crash on 91 Freeway.
The crash occurred before 4:30 p.m. when a couch fell on the 91 Freeway and partially blocked the westbound lanes east of Interstate 15.
CHP said a couch tumbled out of a truck and into the fast lane, resulting in the crash involving a Nissan sedan, Nissan Xterra SUV, Kia sedan and Toyota Camry.
Furthermore, the Riverside Fire Department paramedics treated the Toyota driver who sustained a gash to the head. Though, it was not identified if the victim was taken to a hospital.
Meanwhile, authorities closed two of four westbound lanes because of the collision. Also, they issued a SigAlert at about 5 p.m. as traffic backed up for miles.
CHP officers conducted a preliminary investigation and reopened the lanes as of 5:30 PM.
Additionally, two other vehicles sustained major damage and had to be towed away from the location. No details on the whereabouts of the motorist who dropped the couch were given.
