TRINITY COUNTY, CA (July 31, 2022) – On Wednesday, a person sustained injuries in a crash on State Route 299 near Campbell Ridge Road.
 
According to authorities, the incident happened on State Route 299 near Campbell Ridge Road.
 
Reports revealed that a vehicle failed to negotiate a right roadway curve. Then, it veered across the double yellow lines and collided with another vehicle. Afterward, the force of the crash ejected an occupant of the first vehicle into the roadway. Meanwhile, the second vehicle fled the scene after the collision.
 
Moreover, responders transported the patient to Mercy Medical Center with major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, authorities asked anyone with information about the crash to call Officer Wingler at (530) 623-3832.
