CLAY COUNTY, CA (March 1, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a person sustained injuries in a semi-truck crash on US 287 near Hapgood Road.
 
The incident happened at around 7:00 a.m. on US 287 near Hapgood Road.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a semi-truck failed to yield the right of way to northbound traffic. Then, a Ford pickup failed to stop on time and rear-ended the semi.
 
Moreover, responders airlifted the pickup driver to John Peter Smith Hospital with serious injuries. Meanwhile, the semi-driver sustained no injuries in the crash.
 
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
