CASTAIC, CA (February 8, 2019) – A person sustained injuries after a big rig rolled over in the northbound lanes of 5 Freeway on February 6.

The incident led to the closure of the northbound side of the freeway until 2:00 a.m.

The crash happened after 10:00 p.m., north of Parker Road. The traffic was rerouted at Parker Road, the California Highway Patrol said.

According to reports, the big rig was found lying across all lanes of the northbound part of the freeway. Traffic was also slowed down for miles.

The incident left one person injured. However, the extent of the victim’s injury is still unknown.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
