FRESNO, CA (June 9, 2022) – Wednesday, a person suffered injuries in a big rig crash on Highway 99 and Manning Avenue.
 
The incident happened at around 11:55 a.m. on Highway 99 and Manning Avenue.
 
According to reports, a big rig hauling double trailers filled with river rock headed south. Then, it lost control, struck the yellow attenuators, and rolled over just beneath Manning Avenue.
 
Then, an Amazon truck driver traveling behind the big rig attempted to stop. However, it ended up crashing into the back of the trailers.
 
As a result, the big rig driver was pinned and responders pulled him out of the wreckage. Then, responders transported him to the Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
 
Also, the driver of the Amazon truck has minor injuries.
 
Moreover, the crash caused a traffic backup in both directions of the highway at Manning Avenue.
 
Meanwhile, officers confirmed that both lanes are now open.
