1 Hurt in Yuba County Pedestrian Accident near Garden Highway and Bogue Road
YUBA COUNTY, CA (December 14, 2022) – Monday morning, a person suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash near Garden Highway and Bogue Road.
The incident happened at about 7:00 a.m. near Garden Highway and Bogue Road.
According to reports, officers found a man down on the road. The victim said that a hit-and-run vehicle hit him. Thus, responders took the patient to an area hospital.
Meanwhile, officers later found out that the man walked east along Bogue Road. Then, he triggered the pedestrian light button to walk east along Bogue Road.
Afterward, a dark-colored truck stopped for a red light at the intersection of Bogue Road and Garden Highway. Then, the man stood at the southeast corner of the intersection.
As the light turned green and the pedestrian signal turned on, the man walked into the crosswalk. Meanwhile, the truck made a righthand turn, colliding with the man in the crosswalk.
Then, the truck pushed the man and drove over him.
Afterward, the driver stopped, backed up, and drove forward around the victim heading south on Garden Highway.
