Injuries Reported in Redding Pedestrian Accident on East Street and South Street

 
REDDING, CA (October 18, 2022) – Monday morning, a person suffered injuries in a pedestrian crash on East Street and South Street.
 
The incident happened at about 10:11 a.m. on East Street and South Street.
 
According to reports, a vehicle struck a local and left that person with major injuries.
 
Officers revealed that two people walked with their dog in the crosswalk. Then, a 2015 Toyota Prius turned left from East St. onto South St. and hit one of the pedestrians.
 
As a result, one of the pedestrians suffered major injuries and was taken to Mercy Medical for treatment. Meanwhile, the other pedestrian and a dog were uninjured.
 
Furthermore, the RPD says drugs or alcohol didn’t play a role in the crash. However, they urged anyone with information regarding this incident to call RPD’s Traffic Unit at (530) 225-4200.
