MERCED, CA (July 31, 2022) – Friday night, a person sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on 1700 R Street in Merced.
 
The incident occurred at 11:19 p.m. in the 1700 block of R Street.
 
According to reports, the crash involved a hit-and-run vehicle and a pedestrian.
 
When responders arrived, they found the victim and transported her to an area trauma center in stable condition.
 
Officers revealed that the suspect hit the pedestrian as she crossed the street near the crosswalk.
 
Moreover, they described the vehicle as a dark green sedan with front-end damage. The vehicle headed south on R Street toward West 16th Street.
