Woman Injured in Collision Involving Fire Truck in Chino
CHINO, CA (July 26, 2019) – A collision involving a fire truck in Chino left a woman with minor injuries Thursday morning.
Firefighters and Chino police officers responded to a report at around 7:48 a.m. that a car struck a tree on East End Avenue at Leticia Way. After that, officers approached the vehicle. However, it suddenly backed up and hit the right rear portion of the fire engine.
Deputy Chief Tyler Johnson said a woman inside the car was taken to Chino Valley Medical Center with minor injuries. However, none of the firefighters were hurt.
The fire engine, housed at Station 1 at 5078 Schaefer Avenue in Chino, had minor damage.
No arrests have been made in connection with the crash. However, the Chino Police Department is investigating.
