1 Hurt in Silverdale Car Crash
SILVERDALE, WA (February 17, 2020) – A person sustained injuries in a chain-reaction head-on crash on February 13.
The incident severely damaged three vehicles.
At about 8:40 a.m., a Honda minivan waited to turn left into a driveway off Clear Creek Road. Then, a pickup truck rear-ended it.
The crash sent the minivan into the oncoming lane where it collided head-on with an SUV driven by a woman with two children in the backseat.
The female driver of the minivan went to a local hospital for treatment. Two dogs occupying the van didn’t suffer any injuries. Meanwhile, the pickup driver also left the accident unscathed.
Paramedics aided the woman, as well as the children in the backseat of the SUV, at the scene.
“These children were properly restrained in the back seat of the vehicle, in rear-facing child and booster seats,” deputies revealed, “which prevented the children from sustaining serious injuries.”
