Injuries Sustained in Apple Valley Car Accident
APPLE VALLEY, CA (May 31, 2019) – An unidentified person sustained injuries in a stolen car collision on Serrano Road on May 29.
The hit-and-run incident happened at around 10:50 a.m. on Serrano and Zuni Roads in Apple Valley.
Upon the deputies’ arrival, they found a Hispanic male adult in a blue Mustang driving north on Serrano Road near Zuni Road.
According to Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jackie Alban, the male suspect didn’t stop at the posted stop sign and crashed into a vehicle traveling east on Zuni Road.
The suspect escaped on foot from the car and headed north on Seneca Road.
“The vehicle the male subject was driving was reported stolen out of Victorville,” said Alban.
The 55-year-old female victim in a white Fiat went to St. Mary Hospital for minor injuries.
