CHP Investigates a Two-Vehicle Crash on Shaw Avenue in Fresno

Fresno, CA (January 14, 2022) – Friday morning, one person sustained injuries in a crash on Shaw Avenue.

The two-vehicle crash in Fresno happened at around 10 a.m. on January 14, in the Biola area, west of Fresno.

CHP said the driver of the 18-wheeler adjusted for driving in the fog. He was going slower than the speed limit and had his headlights on.

The Cadillac, however, entered the opposing eastbound lane in order to pass another vehicle within the fog and was unable to see the approaching big rig.

Police said the fog during the incident was about 200-foot or less visibility.

The Cadillac driver is currently in critical condition as a result of the collision.

No other information is immediately released.

Further investigation is ongoing.
