1 Hurt in City of Industry Car Collision near Arenth Avenue

 
CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA (February 24, 2020) – Thursday morning, an unidentified driver sustained injuries in a big-rig collision on Nogales Street.
 
According to reports, an unidentified motor vehicle rammed into the back of the big-rig near Arenth Avenue around 9:35 a.m. Dispatchers arrived to the area shortly after.
 
The car was found partially lodged under the big-rig upon officers arrival. Medics extricated the driver from the wreckage and took him to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the big-rig remained uninjured.
 
Officers later confirmed that the driver of the car had fallen asleep behind the wheel.
 
The identities of those involved have not yet been released to the public. The surrounding area on Nogales Street was shut down during preliminary duties. However, the crash scene was cleared by 10:00 a.m.
