One Injured in Semi-Truck Collision in Castaic

 
CASTAIC, CA (February 6, 2019) – On Wednesday night, one person was injured in a big-rig accident on 5 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 10:00 PM just north of Parker Road.
 
As per reports, a big-rig overturned and was laying across all the northbound lanes of the freeway. The cause of the accident is currently unknown at this time.
 
First responders arrived at the scene and stated at least one person was injured, but the extent of the injury or if the occupant was transported to a hospital is unclear. The victim’s current medical condition is unknown at this time.
 
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened around 2:00 AM. No further details have been disclosed to the public, as the investigation continues.
