1 Hurt in Fresno DUI Car Accident
FRESNO, CA (January 14, 2019) – A driver was hospitalized following a head-on car collision which was caused by a suspected DUI driver on January 12.
The Fresno Police are currently investigating the collision which occurred about 5:30 p.m. on Inyo Street and California Avenue, said Lt. Bill Dooley with the Fresno Police Department. Dooley also added that one of the drivers was heading east on California Avenue when he crashed into the other driver’s westbound lane.
The driver of the vehicle struck by the DUI driver was located unconscious at the area when the authorities came. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for his injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver who stayed at the area was detained on suspicion of a felony DUI. Dooley also revealed that the suspect was driving despite a suspended license.
