Driver Seriously Injured in a Hit-and-Run Crash near Rainbow Valley
Fallbrook, CA (March 18, 2020) – 1 unidentified driver sustained severe injuries after a hit-and-run crash near Rainbow Valley Boulevard on the Thursday morning of March 19.
California Highway Patrol responded at the crash scene after receiving reports at about 7:30 a.m. on the 1900 block of Rainbow Valley Boulevard, east of Interstate 15.
The North County Fire Protection spokesman John Choi said that the driver injured remained trapped inside the vehicle, and his team removed the vehicle’s door to rescue him.
Emergency personnel took the victim to Palomar Hospital for immediate treatment of life-threatening injuries.
After responding at the scene, California Highway Patrol searched for the other motorist involved, who immediately fled.
Additionally, witnesses described the vehicle at large as a tan Honda.
Furthermore, the incident is still under investigation. Authorities have yet to offer further information.
