1 Injured in 2-Car Accident on 80 Freeway [Sacramento, CA]

One Person Hospitalized after Car Collision in Sacramento

 
CAPITAL CITY, CA (April 25, 2019) – On Thursday morning, one person was injured in a 2-car accident on 80 Freeway.
 
Authorities responded to the collision around 6:20 AM, near Exposition Boulevard. First responders arrived to the area shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
 
In addition, CHP say two cars were involved. One of the vehicles allegedly landed on its side due to the impact. However, the events leading up to the collision are currently unclear.
 
Firefighters extricated one of the occupants upon arrival. The victim was later transported to a local hospital for further treatment. However, there has been no update on his current condition at this time.
 
Moreover, the right two lanes of the freeway were closed off for a brief time during the investigation. The surrounding area later reopened around 7:25 AM. No further details have been released at this time.
