Injuries Reported in Norwalk Auto Accident on Bloomfield Avenue and Firestone Boulevard
NORWALK, CA (December 5, 2024) – Wednesday last week, a startling traffic crash on Bloomfield Avenue injured 1.
The incident happened last November 27th at 3:23 a.m. on Bloomfield Avenue and Firestone Boulevard.
A woman was critically injured and rushed to a trauma center after a male driver crashed into a traffic light pole at the end of Firestone Boulevard.
Norwalk deputies responded to the scene just before 3:30 AM following reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a pole. Upon arrival, they found the driver outside the vehicle with minor injuries, while his female passenger was unresponsive and trapped in the front seat.
Firefighters required additional resources and tools to free the woman, a process that took approximately 20 minutes. She was then transported to UCI Medical Center in critical condition.
The male driver, who did not require hospitalization, is being interviewed by deputies. Authorities have not yet determined whether DUI played a role in the crash.
