San Jose Police Seek Suspect in Hit-and-Run Collision that Injured Woman

San Jose, CA (October 26, 2024) A woman was hurt and hospitalized after a violent hit-and-run crash on South 4th Street last October 12.

According to San Jose police, the auto-pedestrian crash happened at about 1:20 a.m. at the intersection with East San Carlos Street.

Reports say that police are seeking public assistance to identify a hit-and-run driver involved in a collision earlier this month.

Officials say that a woman was struck by a dark-colored sedan at the intersection of South Fourth Street and East San Carlos Street.

The sedan was traveling south on South Fourth Street when it hit the woman as she crossed East San Carlos Street. Following the collision, the driver continued southbound on South Fourth toward Interstate 280, leaving the scene.

The woman sustained significant injuries but is expected to recover, police reported. The driver remains at large, and police have released video footage of the incident to aid the investigation.

Ensure You Receive Fair Compensation Following the Accident

People involved in accidents like the Elk Grove traffic crash often suffer injuries ranging from minor to severe, including broken bones, head trauma, spinal injuries, and even fatalities. Medical bills can accumulate quickly, and without proper legal action, these expenses may fall solely on the victim. A personal injury claim can help recover the costs associated with emergency care, surgeries, physical therapy, rehabilitation, and future medical treatment. This financial support allows victims to focus on their recovery without the burden of overwhelming medical debt.
