Carjacking Suspect Arrested after Crash near Greenbrier Mobile Estates
SANTA CLARITA, CA (August 16, 2018) – A person was hospitalized Thursday afternoon and another was arrested, following a police pursuit on Soledad Canyon Road.
As per reports, the chase started at about 2:30 PM along Railroad Avenue. A stolen black Honda Accord was speeding through the area when it crashed into a gray Honda Accord near Golden Valley Road.
At least one person had to be freed from the wrecked gray vehicle. Paramedics were seen assisting the victim, who was hospitalized with unspecified injuries. Authorities believe that the injured individual will recover soon. Meanwhile, the suspect — who was believed to be armed — fled the scene on foot and into the Greenbrier Mobile Estates mobile home community.
At about 5:30 PM, the carjacking suspect was located and taken into custody by officials. His identity and the charges filed against him were not immediately disclosed.
