1 Injured in Victorville Pedestrian Accident on Mojave Drive
VICTORVILLE, CA (September 16, 2019) – Ayoung adult male sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Mojave Drive on September 12.
The incident occurred at around 8:20 p.m. on Mojave Drive between Rocky Knoll Way and West Trail. The Victorville Police Department, AMR, and Victorville Fire came to the scene and found a male down in the roadway unconscious, but breathing.
An ambulance transported the pedestrian to a track field at Hook Junior High. A helicopter flew him to a trauma center.
Sergeant Mooradian said that it’s possible that two vehicles struck the pedestrian.
A black Toyota Tundra with a damaged driver-side headlight stopped in the westbound lanes after the incident. Moreover, a silver sedan stopped in the eastbound lanes.
The drivers of the vehicles cooperated with the authorities. Authorities also ruled out drug or alcohol as a factor in the collision.
The pedestrian seemed Hispanic male in gray clothes.
Mojave Drive will remain closed for multiple hours while the Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) worked at the scene.
