Four Vehicles Involved in Collision near East Greenback Lane

SACRAMENTO, CA (September 7, 2018) – One person was hospitalized Friday afternoon following a multiple-car crash on 80 Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place at approximately 2:38 PM on the eastbound 80 Freeway near East Greenback Lane. Officers identified the involved parties as two semi-trucks and two unidentified vehicles. The cause and events leading up to the crash are unknown at this time.

The medics responded to the scene and rescued one person who suffered injuries. The victim was transported to the Kaiser Permanente Roseville Sacramento with minor injuries. There is no update on his identity or current medical condition.

Debris was scattered in the roadway, and at least two vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Lanes were closed as clearing operations and investigation took place. No additional information has been disclosed to the public at this time.
