1 Hospitalized after a Major Crash on Interstate 215 near Los Alamos Road

Murietta, CA (May 18, 2020) – On May 16, one person was hospitalized in a major road crash on Interstate 215, south of Los Alamos Road.

At 1:55 a.m. Saturday, CHP reports specifies that a large truck lost control and bumped into the guardrail shoulder of the freeway. The truck then flipped on its side and blocked leftmost lanes.

Later, a sedan drove up and collided into the wreckage. The person driving the car trapped and the firefighters had to cut the victim out of the car.

The responders then took the unidentified victim to the hospital.

Officers reports that other driver was attended at the scene but refused transport to the hospital.

The aftermath of the crash

Two lanes of the freeway were closed for hours as the vehicles and debris were cleared.
