One Injured in Santa Clarita Car Accident
SANTA CLARITA, CA (January 28, 2019) – A person was hospitalized with unknown injuries following a traffic crash that led their vehicle to overturn on January 26.
The two-car crash happened at 8:46 a.m at the intersection of Sierra Highway and Via Princessa in Canyon Country. The circumstances of the collision are still not clarified as of this time. However, it was reported that the incident led one of the vehicles, a blue Mazda, to roll over in the middle of the busy intersection.
The incident closed the intersection for over half-an-hour, leading deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station to administer alternate routes while the scene was still being investigated.
At 9:24 a.m., the intersection was finally available after the clearing of debris from the road.
Meanwhile, the occupant of the Mazda was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries. Her identity is being withheld due to her status as a minor, officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station revealed.
Meanwhile, the status of the second driver and the factors that caused the collision are still unknown as of this time.
