2 Cars Involved in Accident near Elk Grove Boulevard
ELK GROVE, CA (March 20, 2019) – One person was hospitalized after a car crash on northbound 5 Freeway, Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 7:23 AM, near the Elk Grove Boulevard off-ramp.
The circumstances leading up to the collision are unclear at this time; however, reports indicate two cars were involved in the accident. The vehicles were identified as a black Honda and a black Chevrolet Cruze.
Furthermore, authorities called paramedics to the scene due to the extent of one occupants wounds. The victim was found suffering from minor injuries upon medics arrival. The occupant was eventually transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Cleaning and preliminary duties were conducted following the collision. An investigation is ongoing to determine liability. Additional information will be released once available.
