1 Unidentified Victim Injured in Auto Accident in El Centro
EL CENTRO, CA (April 1, 2020) – Monday afternoon, one unidentified person was hospitalized after a car collision on 8 Freeway.
California Highway Patrol say the crash occurred in the westbound lanes of 8 Freeway near Mile Marker 61. Dispatchers arrived in the area shortly after.
For unknown circumstances, a silver Mercedes crashed into the rear of a big-rig.
As a result of the impact, an AMR ambulance transported an injured person to El Centro Regional Medical Center for further treatment. However, there has been no update on their current condition.
The surrounding area on 8 Freeway was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened.
As of this time, the car collision remains under active investigation.
