1 Hospitalized after 2 Major Crashes on Pine Street and Union Street [Seattle, WA]

1 Injured in Seattle Car Crash

 
SEATTLE, WA (October 18, 2019) – A person suffered injuries following two major crashes on Pine Street on October 16.
 
The troopers and medics all came to Pine Street and Union Street at around 11:10 a.m. upon receiving reports of a serious collision.
 
Upon the first responders’ arrival, they located two crashes. The first crash between two semi-trucks trapped one person, Trooper Rick Johnson of the State Patrol said. Firefighters worked in freeing the trapped victim and transported them to the hospital.
 
The crash initially blocked four lanes but have since reopened by 1:40 p.m.
 
The crash caused a five-mile backup during the southbound lane closures.
