40-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision on 23rd Avenue West
SEATTLE, WA (October 1, 2018) – A 40-year-old man was fatally injured in a crash on Thorndyke Avenue West, early Monday afternoon. The victim was not yet identified pending notification of family.
According to Washington State Patrol troopers, the collision took place at approximately 3:00 PM at the intersection of Thorndyke Avenue West and 23rd Avenue West.
Due to impact of the accident, one of the two drivers was stuck inside the car and had to be extracted from his vehicle. He was later pronounced dead on site by first responders. Reports show that the second driver did not suffer any injuries.
Following the accident, state police closed both directions of Thorndyke for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened. No further information has been released to the public regarding the circumstances leading up the fatal crash.
