1 Dead and 2 Hurt in Oxnard Auto Accident on North Rose Avenue and East Gonzales Road
OXNARD, CA (July 14, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon, a person died in a two-vehicle crash on North Rose Avenue and East Gonzales Road.
The authorities received a report of the crash at 2:03 p.m. on North Rose Avenue and East Gonzales Road.
Traffic investigators revealed that a 2012 white Dodge Ram 2500 pick-up traveled south on Rose Avenue. Meanwhile, a 1999 silver Honda Civic was driving north.
Then, the Civic tried to turn left onto Gonzales Road at the intersection. However, for unknown reasons, the two vehicles crashed.
As a result, the Civic driver and two passengers were taken to the hospital. However, one of the passengers, the 13-year-old, succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the gender of the deceased.
Meanwhile, the 46-year-old female driver of the Civic and the other passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
On the other hand, the two occupants in the pickup suffered no injuries.
As the Oxnard traffic investigators launched a fatal crash investigation, they extended the closure of the intersection. Rose Avenue and Gonzales Road in all directions remained unavailable as of 5:55 p.m.
