4 Vehicles Including a Big Rig Involved in Road Collision on Highway 126
FILLMORE, CA (May 31, 2018) – On Thursday afternoon, one motorist was killed, and three others were injured in a suspected DUI crash on Highway 126.
The fatal traffic collision occurred on the 126 Freeway at approximately 2:25 PM. A big rig and at least two other vehicles are involved in the crash. Details of the events leading up to the collision and the identities of the people involved were not immediately available to the public.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area as traffic was closed in both directions between Mountain View and the railroad tracks, at the eastern edge of Fillmore City. The road remained closed for several hours while investigators examined the scene and crews cleaned up the wreckage. Officials redirected traffic to Highway 118 and 101 Freeway, which were used as alternate routes.
