1 Killed and 3 Injured in Los Angeles Auto Accident on 5 Freeway and Indiana Street

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 16, 2021) – Sunday morning, a person died in a solo crash on 5 Freeway and Indiana Street.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 2:20 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on northbound 5 Freeway at Indiana Street.
 
Reports revealed that a gray 2004 Honda Accord traveled at a high rate of speed. Then, it failed to negotiate the curved road and collided with a wall.
 
Furthermore, responders transported the 29-year-old female driver of the vehicle and a 20-year-old man to Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center. Both of them sustained injuries.
 
Also, paramedics rushed a 10-year-old boy and a 7-year-old to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. However, the 10-year-old victim later succumbed to injuries.
 
Meanwhile, officials believe that speed and alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Moreover, CHP issued a Sigalert at around 4:09 a.m. for the northbound freeway at Indiana Street. All lanes have long since reopened.
